Irakli Toklikishvili
Irakli Toklikishvili is a Georgian visual artist whose practice centers on printmaking as a space for experimentation, reflection, and transformation. Through techniques such as linocut and monotype, he constructs symbolic compositions that intertwine personal mythology with broader historical and cultural narratives.
His work often explores themes of ritual, memory, and identity—rendered through layered, textured forms that evoke both ancient iconography and contemporary unease. Influenced by Georgian spiritual and folkloric traditions, Toklikishvili creates visual universes where the human figure becomes a vessel of tension, transition, and storytelling.
A graduate of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and collaborative projects in Georgia and internationally. His approach to printmaking balances discipline and intuition, producing works that resonate with quiet intensity and poetic charge.
