TEDO REKHVIASHVILI - Memory, Power & Temptations

Tedo Rekhviashvili's multimedia project "Memory, Power and Temptations" was elaborating for the past two years and beside painterly canvases represents objects and installations. The interests of the young but already well-known artist except exploring the possibilities of the image involves social issues, complex intersections of culture and power and questions about society's values. His paintings, layered collages and installations are sharp and impressive; the critical understanding of problematic topics uniquely combines the characteristics of historical painting with the language of modern technology.

Tedo Rekhviashvili graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts with a master's degree in 2014 and in the same year he had two solo exhibitions. He then continued his studies at the New York Academy of Arts, which he also successfully graduated in 2020.
